Herb Alpert & Pat Metheny Reissues

The Shout! Factory music label has embarked on an ambitious plan of re-releasing a series of classic Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass albums, many of which are being made available on CD for the first time ever. This month you will find The Lonely Bull (1962); South Of The Border (1964); and Lost Treasures (1965), which includes previously unreleased tracks and hard to find rarities all picked by Alpert himself. In the coming months expect an expanded edition of the 1965 release Whipped Cream & Other Delights (in April); to be followed by three more releases in June: Going Places (1965); What Now My Love (1966); and S.R.O. (1966).

Nonesuch will soon release five remastered versions of previously released Pat Metheny sets, including several with bonus tracks. The CDs are: Song X (1985); Still Life (1987); Letter From Home (1989); We Live Here (1994); and Quartet (1996). Each were previously available on the Geffen label. His latest group CD is The Way Up.
