Grammy Award 2005 Nominees

With the 47th annual Grammy Awards coming up next Sunday on CBS, here's a list of our favorite categories that are up for awards:

Contemporary Jazz Album: Journey, Fourplay; Unspeakable, Bill Frisell, In Praise of Dreams, Jan Garbarek; The Hang, Don Grusin; Strength, RoyHargrove (The RH Factor).

Jazz Instrumental Solo: What's New, Alan Broadbent; I Want to be Happy, DonByron; Speak Like a Child, Herbie Hancock; Buleria, Solea y Rumba, Donny McCaslin; Wee, John Scofield.

Reggae Album: Black Magic, Jimmy Cliff; The Dub Revolutionaries, Sly and Robbie; African Holocaust, Steel Pulse; True Love, Toots and the Maytals; Def Jamaica, Various Artists.

Contemporary World Music Album: Cositas Buenas, Paco De Lucia; Bebel Gilberto, Bebel Gilberto; Roots, Gipsy Kings; Oyaya!, Angelique Kidjo; Egypt, Youssou N'Dour.

Pop Instrumental Album: Pure, Boney James; Saxophonic, Dave Koz; Forever,For Always, For Luther, Various Artists; Henry Mancini, Pink Guitar,Various Artists; EP 2003: Music for the Epicurean Harkener, Mason Williams.
